Tiglachin (Derg) Monument

Unveiled in 1984 with North Korean help, this towering column and its heroic bronze friezes commemorate Ethiopian and Cuban soldiers of the Ogaden War. It's one of Africa's most striking pieces of surviving socialist-realist monumental art, right on Churchill Avenue.
