Opened in 2022 opposite the parliament district, Abrehot ('enlightenment') is the country's largest library, an airy architectural landmark where thousands of young Addis residents study daily. Visitors can admire the building and reading halls and feel the city's bookish energy.
☀️ Local tip
It's a working library — keep quiet, and check bag rules at entry. The exterior and plaza alone are worth a look if you're at Arat Kilo.
