Lion of Judah Monument & La Gare Station
የይሁዳ አንበሳ ሐውልት
The bronze Lion of Judah, erected for Haile Selassie's 1930 coronation (and once looted to Rome), stands before the elegant 1929 La Gare terminus of the old Addis-Djibouti railway. Together they're a compact monument to imperial Ethiopia and its first railway age, in an area now being redeveloped.

A quick photo stop rather than a long visit — the station interior is not reliably open, but the facade and monument are free to see anytime.
