On the forested slopes above the city at ~3,000m, Entoto Park mixes hiking and cycling trails with ziplining, go-karts, horse riding, archery, spas and a strip of stylish restaurants built among the eucalyptus. It's the city's favourite weekend escape and noticeably cooler than downtown.

Altitude is real up here — take it slow. Weekdays are far quieter; bring a layer, and budget separately for each activity.
