Literally 'Nation of Flowers', Bihere Tsige is Addis Ababa's oldest open herbarium and garden, a 40-hectare spread of native and exotic trees, lawns and flowerbeds along the Debre Zeit road. Recently renovated as a family recreation park, it's a genuinely local green escape on the south side of the city.
