Sodere Hot Springs Resort
ሶደሬ
On the Awash River beyond Adama, Sodere is Ethiopia's best-known hot-springs resort: large mineral pools fed by naturally hot water, set among palms with vervet monkeys in the trees. It's a beloved, unpretentious weekend institution rather than a polished spa.
☀️ Local tip
Weekdays are far less crowded; bring swimwear, towel and river shoes, and keep food out of reach of the monkeys.
