Muger River Gorge (Durba)
ሙገር ሸለቆ
Near the cement-factory town of Durba beyond Chancho, the Muger River has cut a spectacular gorge into the highland plateau — sheer cliffs, seasonal waterfalls and resident gelada troops along the rim. It's a low-key alternative to the Jemma gorge for canyon scenery close to Addis.
☀️ Local tip
Go with a driver/guide who knows the viewpoints; the rim paths are unfenced, so watch your footing and keep distance from cliff edges.
