Founded in 1976, Dashen built its name in Kazanchis on slow-cooked wats made with house-ground spices, traditional tej honey wine and flavored areke spirits, with live cultural music. After Kazanchis was cleared for redevelopment it reopened near the Golagul roundabout in Haya Hulet.
